Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) – MTsN 6 Bantul continues to present innovative and engaging learning experiences. In an Indonesian Language class, Grade VIII A students carried out a poster-making activity using the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model under the guidance of their subject teacher and student-teacher Sholichatun from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), on Wednesday (September 17, 2025).
In this activity, students were encouraged to design posters on specific themes using drawings and visuals on paper. Through the PjBL approach, they actively participated in every stage of the process—from planning, group discussions, and brainstorming ideas to presenting their creativity in poster form.
According to Sholichatun, the activity aimed not only to sharpen students’ writing skills but also to enhance their creativity and speaking abilities. “With PjBL, students are freer to express their ideas, while also learning to collaborate and present their work confidently,” she explained.
Grade VIII A students showed great enthusiasm throughout the activity. They eagerly created illustrations, wrote slogans, and added artistic touches to their posters.
The Principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation for this initiative. “PjBL provides a valuable platform for students to innovate through poster-making in various forms,” he noted. He also emphasized that implementing PjBL with the support of student-teachers can further encourage students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively.
