Bantul, October 6, 2025 – The Head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) 6 Bantul, Mr. Sugiyono, S.Pd., offered his blessings and profound motivation to 10 selected students who are set to participate in the Jogja English Village (Kampung Inggris Jogja) program. This intensive English language training will run for six days, from October 6 to 11, 2025, located in Ngebel Hamlet Rt 06 Tamantirto Kasihan, Bantul.
The ten students chosen—comprising 6 female students from 9th Grade and 4 from 8th Grade—are the madrasah’s best representatives, who are expected to become pioneers in English proficiency.
In his address, Mr. Sugiyono stressed the importance of commitment throughout the training. He likened the program to a “golden ground for practicing English.”

“I hope all of you will be serious and committed. This is a golden opportunity to directly practice your English skills. If necessary, use your time in the field to ‘hunt tourists’—interact with travelers, practice your abilities,” said Sugiyono enthusiastically.
Furthermore, the Head of the Madrasah also linked this training to academic success. Specifically, he encouraged the 9th-grade students to leverage their improved English skills to achieve outstanding results in the Academic Competency Test (TKA).
During their six-day stay at the Jogja English Village, the students will be accommodated in local village homes. They will follow a rigorous daily schedule, which includes routine religious activities like congregational prayers, along with intensive English training in Speaking, Pronunciation, Public Speaking, and Story Telling, all guided by professional tutors.
This activity is expected not only to enhance the students’ linguistic abilities but also to build their character and self-confidence in global communication.
