Bantul – The spirit of practicing English is growing at MTsN 6 Bantul through the English Morning Club activity, held every Tuesday morning from 06.00 to 07.00 WIB at the de’Talenta Library. This program is participated in by 20 enthusiastic seventh and eighth-grade students who are eager to improve their communication skills.
The English Morning Club provides students with a space to build confidence in speaking English. They are encouraged to express their ideas, practice dialogues, and engage in fun discussions with peers. This supportive environment helps reduce anxiety and motivates students to use English more naturally.
In addition, the program strengthens students’ vocabulary mastery and listening comprehension. By interacting directly in English, they can connect language learning with daily communication, making it more meaningful and effective. Teachers also guide students with simple corrections, ensuring that learning takes place in an enjoyable way.
Principal Sugiyono expressed his strong support for the initiative. “The English Morning Club is a positive program that strengthens our students’ abilities in global communication. I hope it continues to grow and inspire more students to love practicing English,” he said.
With this activity, MTsN 6 Bantul continues to strengthen its literacy and language culture. The English Morning Club not only develops students’ academic skills but also nurtures their confidence and readiness to face global challenges.(ewh)
