(Bantul- Matsanaba)– In line with its commitment to strengthen digital learning, MTsN 6 Bantul has once again reinforced its collaboration with SEAMEO SEAMOLEC through an online Zoom meeting held on Friday (8/8/2025). The session was attended by SEAMEO SEAMOLEC Training Manager Victor Labotano and Marketing Manager Ali Imron, while MTsN 6 Bantul was represented by vice principals and the partnership’s Person in Charge (PIC), Ely Widayati.
The partnership between MTsN 6 Bantul and SEAMEO SEAMOLEC has been ongoing for three years, with a strong focus on capacity building in virtual reality (VR) and extended reality (XR). These trainings have significantly contributed to the creation of innovative digital learning media, allowing both teachers and students to experience more engaging and interactive methods of study.
In this latest discussion, both institutions explored possibilities for new collaborations in 2025. The agenda included reviewing current progress, aligning potential training opportunities, and mapping strategies to strengthen MTsN 6 Bantul’s identity as a cyber madrasah. The emphasis was placed on ensuring that digital initiatives are not only innovative but also relevant to the practical needs of the school.
Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, warmly welcomed the collaboration, underscoring its importance for the school’s future. “Our partnership with SEAMOLEC is essential for building a strong digital learning ecosystem. It provides valuable opportunities for both teachers and students to grow in the digital era,” he stated. He also expressed optimism that the cooperation will continue to inspire creativity and innovation across the madrasah.
Echoing this, Victor highlighted SEAMEO SEAMOLEC’s readiness to support MTsN 6 Bantul with various training programs. He stressed that the key lies in selecting and tailoring programs that fit the school’s unique context. “There are many opportunities available, but they need to be adapted to the madrasah’s conditions so that the results are optimal,” Victor explained. His remarks reaffirmed SEAMOLEC’s commitment to strengthening educational partnerships in the region. (ewh)
