Bantul – A warm atmosphere embraced Musala Al Hikmah MTsN 6 Bantul on Monday (August 25, 2025), as parents gathered to play their part in shaping the school’s future. Responding to the invitation of the newly appointed headmaster, 586 parents attended the gathering, which also featured the presentation of programs for the 2025/2026 academic year. To ensure order, the event was divided into three sessions according to grade levels.
Parents of seventh graders were welcomed in the first session from 07.30 to 08.30 a.m., followed by eighth-grade parents from 09.00 to 10.00 a.m., and ninth-grade parents from 10.30 to 11.30 a.m. Although their attendance was spread throughout the morning, their purpose was the same: to understand and support the direction in which the madrasah is heading.
Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, highlighted the essential role of parental involvement in the success of the school’s programs. “This is a need for both the students and their parents, so please support it well. One of the focuses is on developing student achievements, both at the national and international levels,” he remarked with emphasis.
Beyond presenting the school’s programs, the event also became an opportunity to strengthen ties between the school leadership and parents. Sugiyono introduced plans for literacy advancement, digital-based learning, and the nurturing of students’ talents and interests, underlining the importance of shared commitment.
The strong parental participation underscored a vital message: education thrives when schools and families work hand in hand. With such collaboration, MTsN 6 Bantul is poised to continue achieving excellence, not only in academic and extracurricular fields but also in cultivating the character of its students as future leaders.(ewh)
