Bantul, February 7, 2026 — Grade 8 students of MTsN 6 Bantul carried out a hands-on learning activity in the SBK (Arts, Culture, and Skills) subject under the theme “Exploring the Spirit of Business.” Through this activity, students directly practiced the food production process, starting from ingredient preparation and cooking, to presentation and product sales.
The activity was part of the G.E.M.B.I.R.A Class program (Gerakan Mengajar yang Bermakna, Berkesadaran, dan Menggembirakan), which aims to foster students’ creativity, practical skills, and joyful learning experiences.
Wiwik, the SBK teacher, explained that this learning method is highly suitable for skill-based subjects such as food processing. By combining theory with direct practice, students are able to better understand and master the skills being taught.
Throughout the activity, Grade 8 students showed great enthusiasm and enjoyment. Working collaboratively in groups, they created appealing and delicious food products while learning the basics of teamwork and entrepreneurship.
Azzam, a student from Class 8C, shared his excitement about the program. He said that the activity allowed students to apply classroom knowledge in real situations while sharpening their skills. He also expressed his hope to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and become a successful entrepreneur in the future.
Madrasah Head Sugiyono stated that the program is expected to enhance students’ creativity, practical competencies, and business awareness, preparing them with valuable life skills beyond the classroom. (fn/ewh)
