Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — Another proud moment has been recorded by MTsN 6 Bantul’s badminton team. The school’s girls’ doubles pair successfully secured third place at the 2025 Madrasah Competition Week (PKM) at the provincial level of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), representing Bantul Regency in the MTs category. The tournament was held in Kulon Progo on Tuesday (October 14, 2025).
This accomplishment stands as a testament to the athletes’ hard work and relentless determination throughout every match. Prior to reaching the provincial stage, the duo had earned first place at the Bantul Regency level, earning them the honor of advancing as regional representatives.
Competing in intensely contested matches, the MTsN 6 Bantul pair displayed solid teamwork and unwavering resilience in every set. Although they did not reach the top podium, achieving third place at the provincial level remains a highly commendable result.
Sugiyono, Principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, expressed great pride in their achievement. “We are very proud of their efforts. This success proves that sportsmanship and consistent training can lead to remarkable outcomes. We hope they will continue to strive for even greater accomplishments in the future,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the school’s sports coach emphasized that this success will inspire other students to continue nurturing their talents in sports, particularly in badminton.
