Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — MTsN 6 Bantul once again held its regular Islamic Spiritual (ROHIS) extracurricular activity on Friday (October 17, 2025), from 12:30 to 13:30 WIB. The session was delivered by Mufaridah, who presented material on “Seven Reasons for Seeking Knowledge Based on the Qur’an.” The activity served as a valuable platform for students to enhance their understanding of Islamic teachings while strengthening their spiritual and moral character within the madrasah environment.
Principal Sugiyono expressed high appreciation for the ROHIS program, emphasizing its importance as a form of self-development and an avenue for students to expand their religious knowledge. “Through this activity, students are expected to foster a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm in practicing Islamic values in their daily lives,” he stated. He also highlighted that ROHIS is not only a religious study forum but also a training ground for leadership, discipline, and community spirit among students.
The ROHIS extracurricular program has been held five times this semester and has been attended by 24 students representing grades 7, 8, and 9. The sessions are designed to encourage students to engage actively in discussions, Quranic studies, and moral reflection. Mufaridah, as the supervising teacher, invited students to make the most of this activity to sharpen their religious knowledge and skills. “Through ROHIS, students can develop leadership abilities, deepen their understanding of Islamic values, and cultivate noble character that will benefit them in society,” she explained.

Throughout the session, students participated with great enthusiasm and focus. They eagerly listened to the material and engaged in discussions about the importance of seeking knowledge as commanded in the Qur’an. The atmosphere was calm yet vibrant, filled with a spirit of togetherness and devotion. Such an environment reflected the students’ growing awareness of the significance of continuous learning as part of their faith and personal growth.
The ROHIS extracurricular activity at MTsN 6 Bantul continues to serve as an important means of spiritual formation and moral guidance for students. By integrating religious values into extracurricular programs, the madrasah aims to nurture a generation of students who are not only intellectually capable but also spiritually grounded. The success of this program demonstrates MTsN 6 Bantul’s strong commitment to character education based on Islamic principles, preparing students to become pious, responsible, and socially conscious individuals.
