Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) – A proud achievement was made by MTsN 6 Bantul student, Hessa from Grade IX A, who successfully won a bronze medal in the English Olympiad organized by the Educational Institution Generasi Berprestasi DIGNITY. The competition was part of the Yogyakarta Science Olympiad, which was held online on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
This year, MTsN 6 Bantul sent four students to participate in different subjects including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English. From these four participants, three students managed to bring home medals, proving the strong academic potential of Matsanaba students.
Hessa, who earned the bronze medal in the English Olympiad, expressed her happiness after the announcement. She admitted that she did not expect to win since it was her first time joining an English competition. “I am very happy and grateful. I didn’t expect to get a medal, especially in my first English Olympiad,” said Hessa.
The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, gave high appreciation to both the students and the guiding teachers. He emphasized that such achievements were the result of hard work, dedication, and the spirit of learning. He also hoped this success would motivate other students to keep striving for excellence.
This achievement once again confirmed the commitment of MTsN 6 Bantul to encourage students’ talents in various fields, not only in religious studies but also in academic and scientific competitions. The school continues to support its students to develop their potential and compete at broader levels. (ewh)
