Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — The handcraft extracurricular activity has become a platform for MTsN 6 Bantul students to channel their creativity and manual skills by creating various aesthetically valuable souvenirs on Monday (January 19, 2026). Through this activity, students not only learn to produce creative works but also develop perseverance, neatness, and sensitivity to artistic value and the function of a product.
In the handcraft-making process, MTsN 6 Bantul students creatively utilize a variety of simple and easily accessible materials, such as fabric scraps, recycled paper, thread, and other supporting accessories. Under the guidance of the handcraft extracurricular supervisor, each participant is given the freedom to express ideas and develop designs according to their own imagination, resulting in unique and distinctive handmade products.
The atmosphere of the handcraft extracurricular activities is enthusiastic and collaborative. Participants actively share ideas, engage in discussions, and help one another complete their creations. The resulting handcrafted items are not only visually appealing but can also be used as souvenirs, gifts, or creative products with potential for further development.
Through the handcraft extracurricular program, MTsN 6 Bantul seeks to nurture creativity, independence, and an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. This activity demonstrates that non-academic learning plays an important role in shaping students’ character and life skills. (imb/ewh)
