Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — The Curriculum Development Team of MTsN 6 Bantul held a coordination meeting to prepare a co-curricular program aligned with the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta/KBC) approach on Friday (January 2, 2026). The meeting, which took place in the Computer Laboratory of MTsN 6 Bantul, was conducted in a collaborative and enthusiastic atmosphere as part of efforts to enhance the quality of learning at the madrasah.
The coordination aimed to align co-curricular activities as a complement to intra-curricular learning in order to instill values of love, build noble character, foster social awareness, and strengthen students’ competencies in a holistic manner. Through the KBC approach, co-curricular programs are designed not only to focus on academic achievement but also on the development of attitudes, empathy, and 21st-century skills.
During the forum, the team discussed program planning, mapping of agriculture-based co-curricular themes, and implementation strategies tailored to students’ needs and the madrasah’s environmental context. Various forms of activities were also adjusted to be more contextual, enjoyable, and meaningful, including collaborative projects, social activities, and the strengthening of literacy and numeracy grounded in values of love.
The Principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his hope that this thorough preparation would support the optimal implementation of the KBC-based agricultural co-curricular program in 2026. He emphasized that the initiative reflects the madrasah’s commitment to supporting humanistic, inspiring educational policies that are oriented toward meaningful and mindful learning. (zae/ewh)
