Bantul (MTs Negeri 6 Bantul) — MTs Negeri 6 Bantul welcomed a literacy canteen study visit from MAN 3 Bantul as part of sharing best practices in canteen management related to Safe School Snacks (PJAS Aman) on Tuesday (January 13, 2026). The activity served as both a forum for strengthening ties and a benchmarking visit regarding madrasah efforts to create a safe and healthy school snack environment.
The delegation from MAN 3 Bantul was warmly received by the leadership team and teachers of MTs Negeri 6 Bantul. In the welcoming remarks, a representative of MTs Negeri 6 Bantul explained that the canteen is not only intended to meet the consumption needs of the madrasah community, but also functions as an educational space that supports the Madrasah Literacy Movement.
The literacy canteen study visit featured presentations on MTs Negeri 6 Bantul’s literacy canteen programs, including the provision of reading corners in the canteen area, educational posters, motivational quotes, and the integration of character values such as cleanliness, honesty, and environmental awareness. Participants were also invited to tour the literacy canteen area and engage in discussions with the canteen managers and students involved.
The Head of MTs Negeri 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the literacy canteen study visit from MAN 3 Bantul. According to him, the activity was a valuable moment for mutual learning and sharing best practices among madrasahs. “We are proud and grateful that MTs Negeri 6 Bantul has become a destination for a literacy canteen study visit for MAN 3 Bantul. Our literacy canteen is designed not only as a place to buy food, but also as an educational space that fosters a reading culture, positive character, and clean and healthy living habits among students,” said Sugiyono.
Representatives of MAN 3 Bantul appreciated the canteen innovation at MTs Negeri 6 Bantul, which they considered capable of creating a pleasant learning atmosphere outside the classroom. They hope that the results of this visit will inspire the development of similar programs at MAN 3 Bantul. Through this activity, MTs Negeri 6 Bantul reaffirmed its commitment to continuous innovation in creating a literate, healthy, and child-friendly madrasah environment, while also opening opportunities for inter-madrasah collaboration to improve the quality of education.
