Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — As a concrete implementation of the values of Panca Cinta, the MTsN 6 Bantul community conducted a ta’ziyah (condolence visit) to the home of Muazzimin, a Grade 9D student, in Wonosari, Gunungkidul, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The visit was held following the passing of Muazzimin’s beloved mother, the late Mrs. Sri S., wife of Mr. Ali Shodikin.
The condolence delegation was led by Wiwik Winarni, homeroom teacher of Class 9D, accompanied by teachers Ihsan and Sri Surmiyati, educational staff member Wijiyanto as the driver, and four students from Class 9D—Aba, Azam, Feri, and Syahrul. The group departed from the madrasah in Wonokromo, Pleret, at approximately 1:20 p.m. and arrived in Wonosari at 2:30 p.m. After expressing their condolences, they returned to the madrasah and arrived around 4:00 p.m.
On behalf of the madrasah, Ihsan conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved family. He offered prayers that the late Mrs. Sri S. be granted mercy by Allah SWT, that all her good deeds be accepted, and that her sins be forgiven. He also expressed hopes that the family left behind would be blessed with patience, sincerity, and strength to continue the noble values and good deeds of the deceased.
In addition, Ihsan motivated Muazzimin to remain steadfast in his religious studies at the boarding school and continue striving academically at the madrasah. He emphasized that Muazzimin’s perseverance would be a realization of his mother’s hopes and become a lasting source of merit (amal jariyah) for her.
Representing the family, Mr. Ali Shodikin expressed his gratitude to the madrasah for its care and support. He shared that the family had made every possible effort to seek medical treatment for his late wife, including chemotherapy and intensive care at PKU Muhammadiyah Wonosari Hospital and Dr. Sardjito General Hospital in Yogyakarta. Nevertheless, he stated that the family sincerely accepted Allah’s will with full submission and faith.
Meanwhile, Wiwik Winarni shared her deep respect for the dedication and love shown by the late Mrs. Sri S. toward her child’s education. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and enduring illness, she still made the effort to attend the report card distribution at the madrasah, setting a powerful example of parental commitment to education.
Praise be to Allah, the condolence visit proceeded smoothly. Through this activity, MTsN 6 Bantul demonstrated empathy and solidarity with the student’s family while instilling the value of compassion for others as a meaningful practice of Panca Cinta in real-life situations. (nan/ewh)
