Bantul, February 9, 2026 — A cloudy morning covered the schoolyard of MTsN 6 Bantul, yet it did not dampen the enthusiasm of students participating in the weekly morning assembly. The assembly was led by Heisma Demokrawati, an Indonesian language teacher, who delivered a reflection under the theme “Student Identity at MTsN 6 Bantul in the Algorithm Era.”
In her address, Heisma highlighted the importance of developing a strong personal identity amid the rapid growth of algorithm-driven technology. She encouraged students to sharpen their critical thinking skills, nurture creativity, and continuously innovate in order to adapt and thrive in the digital age. According to her, technology should be used as a tool to enhance self-quality and help achieve personal goals.
She also reminded students to remain mindful of moral values and ethics when engaging with technology. Heisma stressed that technological advancement should not lead students to lose their identity as individuals with integrity and noble character.
The morning assembly was attended by all teachers, staff, and students of MTsN 6 Bantul and took place in an orderly and respectful atmosphere. Participants showed high levels of enthusiasm and attentiveness throughout the activity.
Madrasah Head Sugiyono expressed his appreciation for the program. He stated that the school fully supports initiatives that raise students’ awareness of the importance of maintaining a strong identity while navigating the challenges of the algorithm era.(fn/ewh)
