BANTUL — The Intra-Madrasah Student Organization (OSIM) of MTs Negeri 6 Bantul is currently ramping up intensive preparations to deliver a stunning performance at the upcoming National Teachers’ Day Competition. This activity is a genuine student initiative designed to be a special tribute and a profound gesture of appreciation for their educators. OSIM members are now rigorously practicing their energetic flashmob choreography in one of the school’s classrooms, temporarily transforming the learning space into a spontaneous dance studio.
The spirited training sessions are directly led by three trainer— Atika, Istikomah, and Heisma — who serve dual roles as choreographers and instructors. They are fully responsible for crafting the movement sequence, ensuring every team member masters the transitions and blocking perfectly, and maintaining team cohesion. The atmosphere during practice is described as serious yet filled with laughter, matching the high-energy music that fuels their motivation.
According to Atika, one of the student coaches, the core drive behind this hard work is the desire to present a memorable and unique performance on Teachers’ Day. She acknowledged that the rehearsals are quite energy-consuming, but the team’s spirit remains unwavering. “We want to give a memorable and different presentation on Teachers’ Day. The training is quite exhausting, but our spirit never fades because we want to show our gratitude to the teachers,” Atika stated during a break.
Meanwhile, Istikomah and Heisma emphasize the importance of detail. Istikomah focuses specifically on harmonizing group compactness and stage expression, while Heisma works diligently to ensure every member flawlessly executes the detailed flow of movements. This collective student commitment has garnered full support from the school’s leadership.

Sugiyono, the Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, warmly welcomed the OSIM’s initiative and expressed his high hopes. “We fully support this fantastic initiative from OSIM and hope this flashmob performance will be one of the most anticipated highlights of our National Teachers’ Day celebration. The celebrations at MTsN 6 Bantul have always been an important moment to appreciate the dedication of our educators,” he remarked.
With meticulous preparation guided by their student-coach trio, the OSIM flashmob team of MTsN 6 Bantul remains highly optimistic. Their objective goes beyond simply winning the competition; more importantly, they aim to achieve a truly captivating performance.
