Bantul (MTs Negeri 6 Bantul) — A calm yet vibrant atmosphere of literacy filled the de’Talenta Lib Library of MTsN 6 Bantul. Students were seen enthusiastically visiting the library, not only to complete their assignments but also to explore and enjoy their favorite books in a space known for its comfort and learning-friendly ambiance.
The de’Talenta Lib Library continues to be one of the most popular hubs of student activity in the madrasah. Almost every day, especially during recess or literacy periods, the bookshelf area becomes crowded with students carefully browsing through the diverse collection. “I love coming here because the book collection is complete and the place is so comfortable,” said Salma, an eighth-grade student, while holding a newly found fiction book. “Besides finding references for assignments, reading storybooks here makes my mind feel refreshed.”
Reading on the spot has also become a common sight. Students make use of various areas in the library, from neatly arranged reading tables to cozy corners where they can immerse themselves in their chosen books. This aligns with the madrasah’s continuous efforts to foster a culture of literacy and make the library a joyful learning space.
Head Librarian Ely Widayati explained that the library regularly adds new collections, including popular fiction and reference books that support the Kurikulum Merdeka, to ensure a rich and engaging reading experience. “We want the library to be a second home for students. With its pleasant atmosphere and continuously updated collection, we hope students’ enthusiasm for reading and independent learning will continue to grow,” she stated.
Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation for the library’s role in shaping students’ literacy culture. “The de’Talenta Lib Library represents the spirit of MTsN 6 Bantul — a place where students not only read but also build curiosity and creativity. We fully support all initiatives that strengthen literacy as the foundation of character education,” he said. With this ongoing literacy enthusiasm, the students of MTsN 6 Bantul have proven that a modern library like de’Talenta Lib is a vital key to nurturing intelligent and insightful generations.
