Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — Ten outstanding female students from MTsN 6 Bantul, or Matsanaba, have been selected as learning ambassadors in the English Camp program held at Kampung Inggris Jogja, Tamantiro, Kasihan, Bantul. The program runs from Monday to Saturday, October 6–11, 2025, and aims to strengthen students’ confidence and fluency in English through immersive communication and practical language activities.
Throughout the six-day program, the participants will be fully engaged in various activities that encourage them to speak, listen, and use English naturally in daily interactions. By joining this program, the students are expected to improve their language competence, not only in structured learning but also in real-life situations. The environment at Kampung Inggris Jogja provides an ideal space for students to practice English with native speakers and local instructors.
The ten selected students were chosen based on their academic excellence, particularly in English and related subjects. Among them are Tsabita, who won first place in the Madrasah Olympiad Indonesia (OMI) for Mathematics; Nabila, who has won multiple competitions in research and public speaking; and Hessa, who achieved a bronze medal in an English Olympiad. Their achievements reflect Matsanaba’s commitment to nurturing talented and motivated learners.

MTsN 6 Bantul Principal, Sugiyono, expressed his pride and hope for the participants. “We truly hope these students will make the most of this opportunity by practicing English directly with others, even with foreigners. This experience will certainly enhance their confidence and communication skills,” he said. He also encouraged them to share their knowledge and experiences with their peers after completing the program.
One of the participants Hessa, shared her excitement about joining the camp. “I feel very happy and grateful to be chosen. This is a great chance to practice English every day and to meet new friends who share the same passion,” she said with enthusiasm. The program not only strengthens language skills but also builds the students’ independence and cultural awareness, supporting the madrasah’s mission to develop globally-minded young learners. (elw)
