Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — Grade 7B students of MTsN 6 Bantul showed great enthusiasm as they participated in a hand sanitizer-making training. The activity was conducted as part of a practical, experience-based learning program. This training not only aimed to improve students’ understanding of the importance of cleanliness and health but also introduced them to a simple process of creating useful hygienic products for daily life.
From the beginning of the session, the students were actively engaged in each stage of the training. They listened attentively to the explanation of materials, the function of each component, and later took part in hands-on practice to formulate the hand sanitizer based on the predetermined measurements. The classroom atmosphere became lively with questions and discussions, reflecting the students’ curiosity about the process they were learning.
This training offered both an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience, as the students were not only receiving theoretical knowledge but also directly involved in a simple scientific practice. Through this activity, Grade 7B students were trained to be more mindful of health, careful in carrying out tasks, and able to understand scientific concepts in an applicable manner.
The hand sanitizer-making activity attended by Grade 7B students of MTsN 6 Bantul demonstrates the effectiveness of contextual learning in enhancing student participation and motivation. With this approach, MTsN 6 Bantul continues to create an active, creative, and relevant learning environment that meets students’ real needs, in line with the values of the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Kurikulum Cinta.(diz/ewh)
