Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, received an award from the Director of KSKK Madrasah, Nyayu Khotidjah, for the school’s achievement as an organizer of the Safe School Children’s Snacks Program (PJAS). The award was presented during an event held at Hotel Grand 7 Jakarta, from November 16–18, 2025. Among all madrasahs in Indonesia participating in the program, MTsN 6 Bantul was the only representative from the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). Together with 35 other madrasahs implementing UKSM, Adiwiyata, and PJAS programs, Sugiyono took part in a dissemination and appreciation session highlighting best practices from schools implementing these programs.
The speakers delivering the materials included the Director of KSKK Madrasah, representatives from the Subdirectorate of Institutional Affairs and Cooperation, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment, and the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). “We listened to presentations from the Ministry of Health regarding UKSM policies and programs, from the Ministry of Environment on the Adiwiyata program, and from BPOM regarding PJAS implementation,” said Sugiyono. “The best practices shared were very insightful and can be applied in our madrasah,” he added.
The award received by MTsN 6 Bantul is a continuation of its participation in the PJAS canteen competition previously supervised by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM). MTsN 6 Bantul was the sole institution representing the DIY Province in the national-level competition. Field verification took place in early July 2025. Based on the jury’s assessment, MTsN 6 Bantul was selected as one of the nominees for the Safe School Snacks Award at the junior secondary school level. The school’s hard work paid off when the head of the madrasah was invited by the Directorate of KSKK Madrasah to receive the award and development funds on November 17.
