Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) – Grade IX students of MTsN 6 Bantul received socialization on the Tes Kemampuan Akademik (TKA/Academic Ability Test) from Dua Dimensi Institute, Imogiri branch, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. This activity is part of the school’s efforts to prepare students for assessments that have now become an essential requirement for continuing their education to the next level.

According to the latest Government Regulation, the Tes Kemampuan Akademik (TKA) is a test designed to measure students’ basic competencies in literacy and numeracy as part of the national education standards. This year, Grade IX students will take TKA in two subjects—Bahasa Indonesia and Mathematics—replacing the ASPD (Regional Education Standard Assessment) held in previous years.

The principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, welcomed the program, emphasizing its importance for students’ readiness. “Students need to be equipped with knowledge and practice. Therefore, the school will also facilitate try-out sessions so that students can become familiar with the types of questions they will face,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Vice Principal for Curriculum, Rina, highlighted the benefits of involving Dua Dimensi Institute in the program. “They help introduce TKA in greater depth, particularly regarding nationally standardized test items. This is crucial to ensure that students are not only familiar with the theory but also prepared for the actual test,” she stated.

Through this socialization program, Grade IX students of MTsN 6 Bantul are expected not only to understand the concept of TKA but also to be more motivated in their studies. With the support of the school and collaboration with educational institutions, the students are hoped to achieve optimal results in the upcoming assessment.(ewh)
