Bantul – For the first time, the Head of the Bantul Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muntolib, visited MTsN 6 Bantul to officially open a workshop on the use of Canva and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The event took place on Friday, August 23, 2025, on the second floor of the school’s computer laboratory and was attended with great enthusiasm by teachers and staff.
In his remarks, Muntolib encouraged teachers to continue learning and adapting to new technologies amidst increasingly complex challenges in the field of education. He highlighted that the integration of digital tools such as Canva and AI could enhance teaching creativity and efficiency, helping educators meet the needs of today’s students.
Echoing his words, the Principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, congratulated the participants and expressed his hopes that the training would be useful. “By learning to use interactive media assisted by AI, teachers and staff can provide more engaging and effective learning experiences for students,” he stated.
The training was joined by 56 teachers and staff members of MTsN 6 Bantul. Two guest speakers from the Yogyakarta Center for Educational Technology and Communication facilitated the workshop, providing practical guidance and demonstrations to maximize the use of Canva and AI in teaching and administrative tasks.
One of the participants, teacher Novrita, shared her excitement about the training. She expressed that the experience was both refreshing and enjoyable, as it introduced her to new methods and tools that she found useful and fun to explore.(ewh)
