Bantul — MTs Negeri 6 Bantul recorded outstanding achievements ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. On Tuesday (December 9, 2025), the madrasah secured first place in the Publication Competition at the MTs level across Bantul Regency and first place in the Outstanding Madrasah Competition for state MTs across the regency. The awards were formally presented by the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bantul, Muntolib, at the PLHUT Hall of the Bantul Office.
Head of MTs Negeri 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his gratitude for the achievements. He emphasized that the results reflected the unity and collaboration of the entire madrasah community. “This achievement is the embodiment of our collective solidarity. Teachers and staff worked tirelessly during the evaluation process for the Outstanding Madrasah Competition. To produce a large volume of news, all teachers and staff also contributed by writing. Alhamdulillah, we are now reaping the results,” he said.
Creative Team Coordinator Putri Pamungkas Cahyaneng Tyas echoed the sentiment, noting that the collective effort proved decisive. Over the past year, the madrasah published 6,890 news items across social media, online platforms, and print media—placing it ahead of MTsN 2 Bantul, MTsN 9 Bantul, and other state and private madrasahs. Meanwhile, Rina Harwati, Chair of the Outstanding Madrasah Competition Team, attributed the first-place finish to exceptional teamwork and meticulous evidence verification. “The process took time, with continuous progress monitoring and repeated checks of the evidence. Alhamdulillah, the process did not betray the results,” she remarked. In addition to certificates of appreciation, the madrasah also received coaching funds for the Outstanding Madrasah Competition.(rin/ewh)
