Bantul – The literacy culture at MTsN 6 Bantul continues to show encouraging progress. On February 26, 2026, seventh-grade students demonstrated great enthusiasm by visiting the De’Talenta Library to read and explore its diverse book collections.
During break time, the library was lively with students coming in turns. Some focused on textbooks to deepen their understanding of lessons taught in class, while others selected storybooks, inspirational biographies, and general knowledge materials to broaden their horizons. Many students even returned after school to continue their reading. The comfortable reading space, neatly organized collections, and conducive atmosphere have significantly supported the growing interest in reading. This habit not only fosters a love of reading but also nurtures independent learning and intellectual curiosity.
Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation and pride in the students’ literacy spirit. “We truly appreciate the positive habit of our seventh graders who diligently visit the library. Reading is a window to the world. Through reading, their perspectives expand and achievements become attainable. We hope this literacy culture continues to flourish and becomes a hallmark of our madrasah,” he stated.
He further added that the school will continue to support literacy enhancement programs, including optimizing the library’s function as a central learning resource. With consistent reading habits, students are expected not only to excel academically but also to develop critical, creative, and well-rounded character traits. (khz/nov)
