Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) – Another proud achievement has been accomplished by a student of MTsN 6 Bantul. Alif Zainuddin from Class VIIA successfully won 2nd place in the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) category at the Kompetisi Unggul Anak Cerdas Islami (KUACI) #8 for the DIY–Central Java region on Tuesday (17/02/2026). The competition was held at MAN 1 Yogyakarta. With this accomplishment, Alif once again brought honor to his school in the field of religious competitions, following his recent 2nd place achievement in the MTQ category at MAN 3 Bantul.

The competition was attended by approximately 36 outstanding participants from various schools and madrasahs across the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and Central Java. Alif performed confidently, reciting verses of the Holy Qur’an melodiously, clearly, and with deep reverence. His performance impressed the panel of judges as well as the audience present at the event.

The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his pride and appreciation for the achievement. “This accomplishment is the result of hard work, regular practice, intensive guidance from the mentor, and strong support from the family. We hope Alif continues to improve his skills and becomes an inspiration to his peers,” he stated.

This success adds to the list of achievements of MTsN 6 Bantul in the religious field. The school remains committed to nurturing students’ talents and interests, particularly in Qur’anic recitation (tilawah) and memorization (tahfiz), as part of building strong religious character and noble values.

With this victory, Alif Zainuddin is expected to further develop his talent and skills in MTQ competitions and continue achieving remarkable accomplishments, while bringing greater recognition to MTsN 6 Bantul. (wik/ewh)
