Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — Another proud achievement has been earned by the students of MTsN 6 Bantul. Zidane, a ninth-grade student from class IX F, together with the MTsN 6 Bantul boys’ basketball team, clinched Second Place in Category A at the 18th Perbawa Timoer Competition held on Saturday (22/11/25), a district-level tournament for SMP/MTs teams across Bantul.
The competition, marked by lively matches and strong sportsmanship, brought together various schools from throughout the district. The MTsN 6 Bantul team delivered an impressive performance from the preliminary rounds to the finals, showcasing excellent teamwork and well-coordinated strategies. Zidane stood out with his aggressive play, strong defensive presence, and consistent scoring contributions that greatly supported his team’s success.
Principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation for the team’s accomplishment. He emphasized that such achievements should inspire other students to continue developing their talents, whether in sports or other fields.
