In celebration of National Santri Day 2025, students of Class VIIIC at MTs Negeri 6 Bantul proudly participated in a lively choir competition held within the school grounds. The event was one of the highlights of the commemoration, showcasing the students’ enthusiasm and unity in expressing their santri spirit through music.
During the competition, the Class VIIIC choir performed the patriotic song “Syubbanul Wathon”, known as the anthem of the santri struggle, with remarkable harmony and energy. Their synchronized voices and spirited performance captivated both the judges and the audience, earning them warm applause and praise.
Homeroom teacher Susi Puspita Sari, S.Pd., expressed her admiration for her students’ dedication and teamwork. “Through this activity, students not only learn about cooperation and discipline but also internalize the values of unity, faith, and love for the homeland,” she said with pride.
Meanwhile, the principal of MTsN 6 Bantul, H. Sugiyono, S.Pd., conveyed his appreciation and hopes that the commemoration of National Santri Day would continue to inspire students to excel both academically and morally. “The spirit of the santri must live on in every student — as a reflection of piety, hard work, and love for Indonesia,” he emphasized.
