Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — High enthusiasm and optimism were evident among the research mentors of MTsN 6 Bantul as they prepared students to take part in the student-level Research Competition organized by MAN 4 Bantul. With careful planning and continuous guidance, the mentors expressed confidence that the MTsN 6 Bantul research team would be able to perform optimally and competitively.
The research mentoring activities on Thursday (January 8, 2026) were carried out in a structured manner, starting from idea selection, proposal preparation, data collection and analysis, to the writing of scientific reports. The research mentors acted not only as supervisors but also as facilitators who encouraged students to think critically, creatively, and systematically in solving research problems.
According to the mentors, this confidence stems from the students’ high level of enthusiasm as well as full support from the madrasah. “The students show strong commitment in every mentoring session, actively participate in discussions, and are confident in presenting innovative ideas that are relevant to issues in their surrounding environment,” said a research mentor at MTsN 6 Bantul.
In addition to focusing on the quality of scientific work, the mentors also instilled values of academic integrity, teamwork, and responsibility. These values are considered essential so that students are not solely oriented toward competition results, but also toward a meaningful and sustainable research learning process.
The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, also expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the research mentors. “I hope that the student research mentoring activities at MTsN 6 Bantul can serve as a platform for developing students’ academic potential while strengthening a research culture within the madrasah,” he stated. With thorough preparation and strong synergy among mentors, students, and the madrasah community, MTsN 6 Bantul is optimistic about achieving the best results in the upcoming Research Competition and bringing pride to the madrasah on a broader stage.
