Bantul (MTs Negeri 6 Bantul) — Starting 2026 with renewed enthusiasm, the De’Talenta Lib Library of MTsN 6 Bantul has undertaken a large-scale reorganization of its book collections. On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, librarians worked hands-on to rearrange thousands of books in accordance with standard library classification codes.
This activity aims to ensure that all library materials—ranging from textbooks and fiction to general reference works—are systematically organized. Through this effort, the process of information retrieval for both students and teachers is expected to become more effective and efficient.
The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed high appreciation for the initiative taken by the library team at the beginning of the semester. According to him, a well-organized learning environment greatly influences students’ learning psychology.
“The library is the heart of the madrasah. I truly appreciate the hard work of the De’Talenta Lib librarians who promptly reorganized the collections according to classification standards at the start of this year. With systematic book management, we not only make it easier for students to learn, but also instill a culture of discipline and order in literacy,” Sugiyono emphasized.
In line with this, Ely Widayati, Head of the De’Talenta Lib Library, explained that the current reorganization was carried out in great detail using the Shelf Reading system.
“We want to ensure that every book is placed exactly in its proper ‘home’ according to its DDC classification number. By arranging books based on their categories, we minimize the risk of misplaced items so that our collection remains well maintained and always ready to be used by library users,” she explained.
During the activity held on January 6, the librarians carried out several important stages, including code validation, sorting, and physical arrangement of the books. With a fresher and more orderly library atmosphere, De’Talenta Lib is expected to continue being a magnet for MTsN 6 Bantul students to deepen their knowledge and develop their literacy talents in the future.
