Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — The Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) of MTsN 6 Bantul carried out the distribution of scholarships to high-achieving underprivileged students funded by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Bantul Regency. The program was provided to 26 MTsN 6 Bantul students who were officially registered as scholarship recipients on Monday (January 5, 2026).
The scholarship distribution took place at Al-Hikmah Mosque of MTsN 6 Bantul. This program represents BAZNAS Bantul Regency’s commitment to supporting the education sector, particularly for students from economically disadvantaged families who demonstrate academic and non-academic achievements.
Through the UPZ of MTsN 6 Bantul, the scholarships were distributed in a targeted and well-managed manner to students in need. The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to BAZNAS Bantul Regency for its synergy and support in boosting students’ learning motivation.
“We sincerely thank BAZNAS Bantul Regency for distributing scholarships to high-achieving students from underprivileged families at MTsN 6 Bantul. This assistance is very meaningful in supporting educational continuity and motivating students to continue excelling,” said Sugiyono.
The scholarship recipients appeared enthusiastic and grateful for the assistance they received. The scholarships are expected to help fulfill students’ educational needs while serving as motivation for them to continuously improve their achievements and uphold noble character.
Through this scholarship distribution program, MTsN 6 Bantul hopes that the collaboration between the madrasa’s UPZ and BAZNAS Bantul Regency will continue to strengthen in order to support educational equity and the welfare of the community. (ist/ewh)
