Bantul – On Friday, 20 February 2026, teachers and administrative staff of MTsN 6 Bantul took part in a regular religious gathering held at Musholla Al Hikmah after the Dhuhr prayer. This program is scheduled every Friday throughout the month of Ramadan as part of the madrasah’s efforts to strengthen the spiritual well-being of its entire community.
The event began with a collective recitation of the Holy Qur’an, carried out in a solemn and reflective atmosphere by all participating teachers and staff members. Following the tadarus, the session continued with a religious study delivered by Wahab, one of the madrasah’s staff members. In his lecture, he elaborated on the significance and virtues of reciting the Basmalah (Bismillahirrahmanirrahim) at the beginning of every activity to invite blessings and ensure that actions are counted as acts of worship.
He explained that making a habit of reciting the Basmalah should not be seen merely as a verbal tradition, but rather as a form of spiritual awareness. By mentioning the name of Allah SWT before starting any task, individuals consciously dedicate their work to seeking His pleasure. As a result, responsibilities within the madrasah environment feel lighter, more meaningful, and spiritually rewarding.
The Head of the Madrasah, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation for the commitment shown by teachers and staff in consistently attending the Ramadan study sessions. He stated that such activities not only enrich religious knowledge but also strengthen solidarity and reinforce the intention to work sincerely as an act of worship. He further encouraged the practice of reciting Basmalah before every task to become a firmly rooted culture within the madrasah.
Through this ongoing Ramadan program, it is hoped that all educators and staff members will continue to enhance their spiritual quality and use the holy month as an opportunity for self-improvement. The gathering serves as a meaningful reminder to cultivate stronger religious values and deepen devotion within the madrasah community.(nov/ewh)
