Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul)—Excitement filled the room on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, as students experienced a rare and long-awaited moment: practicing English directly with a native speaker from abroad. The presence of a foreign guest created a lively and joyful atmosphere, turning an ordinary school day into an extraordinary learning experience.
The special guest was a student of Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII) who comes from Africa. His visit to the madrasah provided students with a valuable opportunity to interact with a native speaker in real-life communication. For many students, this was their first time speaking English with a foreigner, making the moment truly memorable.
One of the students, Hesa, expressed his happiness during the activity. He said that he was very excited to speak English directly with a foreigner and felt more confident than before. “I am very happy to speak English with a foreign person,” he shared enthusiastically, reflecting the feelings of many of his friends.
Throughout the session, students actively asked questions, shared simple stories, and responded bravely in English. Although some of them made mistakes, the interaction encouraged them to keep trying without fear. The supportive environment helped students realize that confidence grows through practice and real communication.
The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his appreciation for the meaningful activity. He described the visit as an extraordinary moment and hoped similar programs could continue in the future.
