Math Group Presents Deep Learning Matrix at MTsN 6 Bantul Training

Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — The Mathematics discussion group took the stage to present their deep learning instructional matrix during the two-day training on the Implementation of KBC and Deep Learning held at Wisma Sargede, Jl. Pramuka Kav 5F, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta, on 14–15 November 2025. The activity involved 56 teachers and staff of MTsN 6 Bantul, with Muhammad Miftahul Falah from BDK Semarang serving as the main speaker.

In his remarks, Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed appreciation for the participants’ dedication, especially as the workshop took place during a holiday. He noted that the commitment shown by the teachers reflected their enthusiasm for improving learning quality. “Even though today is a holiday, your spirit to learn and collaborate does not diminish. This is the kind of energy that will strengthen our madrasah,” Sugiyono stated.

The training aimed to enhance teachers’ competence in applying the Outcome-Based Curriculum (KBC) and deep learning approaches, focusing on designing learning activities that stimulate analytical and higher-order thinking skills. The speaker delivered practical strategies, including how to construct instructional matrices and develop assessments aligned with deep learning principles.

Throughout the sessions, the atmosphere remained lively and engaging. Participants actively collaborated in groups, worked through case studies, and presented their draft matrices. Besides the Mathematics group led by Imam Bibit Supriyatna, another group also presented their work, showcasing varied ideas and approaches in designing deep learning–oriented lessons. The interactive format encouraged participants to exchange insights and refine their learning designs.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Sugiyono expressed hope that the knowledge gained would be applied consistently in classroom practice. He emphasized that the training should lead to concrete improvements in learning outcomes. The madrasah expects that the strengthened understanding of deep learning will foster more innovative, student-centered teaching across MTsN 6 Bantul.
