Bantul (MTs Negeri 6 Bantul) — To strengthen spiritual development and foster closer ties among the madrasah community, MTsN 6 Bantul once again held its PERAK (Pengajian Ahad Kliwon) gathering on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Al Hikmah Prayer Room. The event was conducted in a solemn yet enthusiastic atmosphere, featuring Wahyuni Shifaturrohmah as the guest speaker who delivered an inspiring sermon on “The Challenges of Raising Children in the Modern Era.”
In her talk, Wahyuni Shifaturrohmah highlighted the crucial role of parents and educators in guiding children in today’s digital age, where moral challenges, social interactions, and technology use have become increasingly complex. She emphasized that character education and personal example are the most effective ways to shape a generation that is virtuous, intelligent, and faithful. “Children today need not only to be taught but also to be shown examples. Parents and teachers must be present as real-life role models in their daily lives,” she conveyed.
The PERAK activity received strong support from the Parent Association (POT) Chair, Kaszaiki, and the Madrasah Committee Chair, Taryana, who both attended and played active roles in ensuring the success of the event—from venue preparation and refreshments to welcoming guests and parents. Their participation reflected the collaborative spirit that underpins many of the madrasah’s religious and community initiatives.
Committee Chair Taryana expressed his appreciation for the continuity of the regular religious gathering, noting its importance in uniting the madrasah and parents. “PERAK serves as a valuable space to strengthen the synergy between parents and the madrasah. Through activities like this, we work together to nurture our children to become morally grounded individuals,” he stated.
Echoing the sentiment, POT Chair Kaszaiki reaffirmed the importance of cooperation among all parties in supporting the madrasah’s spiritual programs. “We are committed to continuously supporting activities that nurture spiritual growth. The challenges faced by our children today can only be met through collective action and good example from all of us,” he remarked. The PERAK event concluded with a joint prayer and fellowship session, symbolizing unity and faith among teachers, parents, and students. The activity is expected to further strengthen both spiritual awareness and togetherness within the MTsN 6 Bantul community. (jks/ewh)
