Learning innovation continues to be developed to create a meaningful and student-centered learning process. One such initiative was carried out by an Informatics teacher at MTsN 6 Bantul, who integrated the GEMBIRA learning model with the Tentang Kita BERANI module during classroom instruction on Tuesday (January 6, 2026).
The GEMBIRA learning model, which emphasizes active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning, was combined with the values embedded in the Tentang Kita BERANI module—Berdikari (Independent), Rasional (Rational), Nuansa Global (Global Awareness), and Inovatif (Innovative)—as an effort to foster both character development and 21st-century competencies among students. Through this integration, students not only learned Informatics concepts but were also trained to think independently, make rational decisions, and become sensitive to global developments and technological innovation.
In practice, the Informatics teacher designed project-based learning activities and group discussions that encouraged students to solve real-world problems using a computational approach. The Tentang Kita BERANI module served as a guide for values and reflection, ensuring that the learning process focused not only on academic achievement but also on attitude and character formation.
This integration provided students with opportunities to express ideas, present arguments, and collaborate in an inclusive and enjoyable learning environment. Moreover, learning became more contextual as it was linked to everyday life and challenges in the digital era.
Through the integration of GEMBIRA learning and the Tentang Kita BERANI module, MTsN 6 Bantul Informatics teacher Imam Bibit played an active role in delivering humanistic, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences. This effort is expected to nurture a generation that is not only technologically proficient but also strong in character and well-prepared to face future challenges. (imb/ewh)
