Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — As part of the commemoration of the 48th anniversary of MTsN 6 Bantul in 2026, Rohis cadres of the madrasah carried out a flower-scattering ceremony combined with a ziyarah (pilgrimage) to the graves of respected masyayikh and muassis on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
The activity was attended by the Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, H. Sugiyono, Head of Administration Nur Latif, Vice Principal for Public Relations Ma’mur Amprani, teachers, educational staff involved in the organizing committee, and selected students representing the Rohis cadres. Two Rohis students, Arif and Khoirunnisa’, actively participated throughout the entire series of activities.
The pilgrimage journey began at the family grave of Mbah Marzuqi Giriloyo, continued to the grave of Drs. Asroruddin Giriloyo, and concluded at the grave of Drs. KH. Munawwir Abdul Fattah at the Prawirotaman Cemetery Complex in Krapyak. In addition to offering prayers, participants performed flower scattering as a sign of respect and gratitude for the services and dedication of the masyayikh and muassis in developing MTsN 6 Bantul.
The ziyarah included visits to the graves of Drs. Asroruddin and the extended family of KH. Marzuqi Giriloyo, as well as the grave of Drs. KH. Munawwir Abdul Fattah. All participants followed the activities solemnly, reflecting deep reverence and respect.
Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, H. Sugiyono, expressed his gratitude and happiness for the successful implementation of the program. He stated that through the ziyarah to the masyayikh and muassis, the MTsN 6 Bantul community could reflect on and appreciate the struggles and contributions of the founders and prominent figures who played significant roles in shaping the madrasah.
“Through this activity, we pray that they receive abundant rewards and continuous merit (amal jariyah) for the knowledge they devoted to the progress of the madrasah and society. May we who continue their struggle be granted ease and success,” said Sugiyono.
Furthermore, he expressed hope that the entire madrasah community would continue to realize shared aspirations, including developing a Tahfidz Madrasah, a Literacy Madrasah, a Child-Friendly Madrasah, and a Digital Madrasah. These programs are embodied in the slogans GEMBIRA (Meaningful, Inspirational, and Conscious Teaching Movement) and Matsanaba Dicinta di Hati (MTsN 6 Bantul Educating with Love and Heart), aimed at achieving excellence and nurturing noble character.
Through this ziyarah and flower-scattering activity, it is hoped that the values of exemplary conduct, dedication, and spirit of service demonstrated by the masyayikh and muassis will continue to be instilled in all members of MTsN 6 Bantul, particularly among Rohis cadres as the next generation.
