Bantul (MTsN 6 Bantul) — In between teaching sessions, the homeroom teacher and Guidance and Counseling (GC) teacher of MTsN 6 Bantul conducted a strategy-sharing session aimed at motivating Grade IX D students in preparation for the Academic Ability Test (TKA) and TKAD. The activity took place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, as a reflection of the teachers’ concern for students’ academic and mental readiness.
The sharing session was carried out through a discussion between the homeroom teacher of Grade IX D, Wiwik Winarni, and the accompanying GC teacher, Putri Pamungkas Cahyanengtyas. Both educators discussed various mentoring approaches that could be implemented to help students become more confident, focused, and prepared to face the upcoming series of assessments.
During the discussion, the homeroom teacher and counseling teacher emphasized the importance of learning motivation, time management, and mental resilience. The strategies discussed included scheduled academic mentoring, intensive communication with students, and a personalized approach to understanding both academic and non-academic challenges faced by Grade IX D students.
The strategy-sharing activity also served as a coordination platform to ensure that student mentoring runs in alignment between the homeroom teacher and the counseling teacher. Through this synergy, it is expected that students will be prepared not only academically but also mentally resilient and positive in attitude when facing the TKA and TKAD.
The Head of MTsN 6 Bantul, Sugiyono, expressed his support for the collaboration between the homeroom teacher and the counseling teacher. He emphasized that cooperation and effective communication among educators are key to creating optimal mentoring services to support the success of Grade IX students in facing various important assessments.
